Summary:
Loader Operator
Operates a front-end loader (CAT 980/988/990)
Supplies production facility and/or stockpiles raw feed or finished products
Maximizes production safely out of the pit
Other duties as assigned by Management
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Operate loader to continuously fill hopper with material to keep pace with production.
Operate loader to stockpile incoming material and keeping the yard orderly and the material stacked.
Inspect the loader daily for any pre, during or post maintenance needs.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on loader as required.
Qualifications:
One year experience operating front end loader.
Able to operate loader at a rapid pace, continuously for long periods of time.
Able to work with little supervision.
Able to operate hand levers and foot pedals simultaneously.
Climb approximately 5 feet from the ground on a ladder to enter loader cab as many as 40 times per day.
Lift approximately 25 lbs, to carry parts and tools to all areas of the loader and plant.
Climb as high as 75 feet from the ground on a ladder.
Bend, stoop, crawl, reach and kneel to perform maintenance on loader.
Must be able to work at least 16 hours in one day and as much as 90 hours in a six day week.
Work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme ambient temperatures of: heat, cold, dust, wet and dry. Noise levels up to 90 dbs.
Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner. This job requires the ability to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety reflective vest.
